Why be a member?

Membership helps you stay aware of the issues that impact hospice programs, such as state licensure and legislation.

You get notice of current events and publications through the VAH newsletter.

There are three types of membership.

  • Provider Members: Licensed Hospice organizations providing care to hospice patients and their families.
  • Associate Members: Organizations, firms, or institutions other than licensed hospice organizations which are supportive of the goals of VAH.  Associate Members are non-voting members.
  • Individual Members: Any individual who desires to support the hospice movement through affiliation with VAH, provided that such individual is not employed by or associated with an entity eligible for provider or associate member status. Individual members are alsonon-voting members.

Membership gives every program a voice; a voice as to what education they want brought to their area and a voice as to what they want legislators and regulators to know is happening within the hospice programs throughout the Commonwealth.

And lastly, perhaps one of the greatest benefits of all is having a group of colleagues who you can learn from, commiserate with, and collectively make a significant difference in the lives of Virginians.
